Morning Class
We did a mini theme on Dental Health.
For several years we have used the free materials from Colgate.
We watched a video called The Adventures of Wiggly Tooth
and learned how to take care of our teeth and why we need to see our dentist.
We heard a story about Franklin and the Tooth Fairy.
We learned that turtles don't have teeth!
Neither do owls or birds!!
We made an easy-to-read book called My Tooth Care Book.
We asked the whole class:
Have you lost any baby teeth? Are any wiggly?
How did you lose your first tooth?
Victoria - I've lost 4 teeth. I lost my first one at Preschool. We were eating chocolate chip cookies and milk for snack. I took a bite of the cookie and thought it was a chocolate chip but it was my tooth! I spit it out!
James - I've lost one. I was eating a strawberry and when I took my first bite I felt it on my tongue.
Kaitlyn - I haven't lost any teeth yet but I do have a wiggly tooth.
Sam - I haven't lost any yet but when I was biting on a lemon pop I felt one get loose.
Dylan - I've lost one. I was at home taking the last bite of a strawberry.
I spit out the strawberry to get my tooth.
Jared - I haven't lost any yet and none are wiggly.
Katie Z. - I've lost 2 baby teeth. I lost my first one at home when I was eating a sandwich at lunch.
Danny - I haven't lost any teeth yet and none are wiggly.
Bobby - I've lost 3 teeth. The first one I lost when I was in my grandmom's garden. I bit into an apple and it came out.
Katie B. - I haven't lost any yet and I don't have any wiggly ones.
Madison - I've lost 4 teeth so far. I lost my first one when I was biting into an Oreo cookie and crunched something hard. I spit it out into my hand to get my tooth.
Great - I've lost 3 teeth. I was 4 years old and I bit into an apple and it stuck in the apple.
Behn - I've lost one baby tooth. I fell and hit something hard and it got wiggly. Then another day before we left for school I just pulled it out.
Josh - I've lost one tooth. I was at a fair and just before my family got on the ferris wheel it came out. My dad held it while we were on the ferris wheel.
Eddie - I haven't lost any yet and I have 2 wiggly teeth.
Jesse - I've lost 2 teeth. I was at ny Uncle Mark's house and it was loose. Then I ate some chocolate and felt a hard thing in my mouth. It was my tooth.
Stevie - I've lost 3 teeth. I was at home in a chair when it got wiggly. I went to the dentist and he pulled it out.
Kenny - I haven't lost any teeth yet and I don't have any wiggly ones.
Camryn - I've lost 4 teeth. My first one was wiggly when I started eating some applesauce. Then I stopped eating and wiggled it and it came out on my spoon.
Brooke - I've lost 2 teeth and I have 2 wiggly teeth. I woke up one morning and it was loose. I tried to pull it out but it didn't come out until the next day when I was in my bathroom.
Jason was absent when we talked about our baby teeth.
