Mrs. Jones and Mrs. King want to thank all of the grandparents for coming to our special day in school! Grandparent's Day was so much fun for everyone!
Our grandparents listened to us sing some songs about the "Letter of the Week" and "Thanksgiving." Then it was time for the audience to participate and we all did "The Turkey Pokey." Our Reading Teacher, Mrs. Brooks in the AM Class and Mrs. Whitehead in the PM Class, read the story Just Grandpa and Me then we shared stories of fun things we like to do with our grandparents. Our grandparents helped us write a sentence and draw a picture of our fun time together. Then we served our grandparents cookies and lemonade for snack. (Our teachers let us carry the drinks, too!) We sang some Grandparent's Day songs for our audience and gave them a Grandparent's Day present we made with our handprint. It was a memorable day for all of us! Thanks to all the grandparents for attending!!
