Math Homework
Every week your child will have math homework.
For the first eleven weeks we learn the correct formation of the numerals 0 to 10, one numeral every week. We model and practice how to form the numeral by tracing dotted lines in class then the homework is sent home that night. Your child is to trace each numeral using the formation learned in class. On the back of the homework paper, your child should practice making 10 of that numeral without lines. A parent should sign the homework. The child should place it in his folder in his schoolbag and return it to school the following day.
For the next eleven weeks we will once again practice the correct formation of the numerals, but this time, without the dotted lines to guide us. Your child will be aiming for the lines.
For the remainder of the year, we practice the teen numbers
and writing numbers from 0-100.
