2011-2012
Kindergarten Supplies

For the first day of school in September, your child needs a backpack or bookbag with a zipper or fastener that your child can open and close easily without help. It should be big enough to hold a 9 x 12 pocket folder without bending it. Please write your child's name on it. A Safety Request - Please NO backpacks on wheels.

During the first week of school please send in the following
labeled with your child's name:

An art smock that covers most of your child's uniform. An adult's short sleeve shirt that buttons down the front works well. Please write your child's name in the collar area for easy identification.

A shoe box, approximate dimensions from 5" to 8" wide by 11" long by 4" tall, to hold the books we read at school then take home. We call it My Book Treasure Box. Extras would be appreciated!

A Box of Tissues

One box of your choice baggies: Mrs. Jones can use ziplock snack size or gallon size either ziplock or slidelock. (We use freezer slidelock gallon bags for our Buddy Books.) Mrs. Kane will let you know.

Things you will need at home:
envelopes or baggies to send in money; glue, tape, crayons, markers, fiskars scissors, pencil, eraser, and lined or unlined paper to do some homework assignments

Things that are nice to have at home to be creative but are not required: stapler, hole punch, ruler, yarn or string, construction paper, colored pencils, pens and other fun things to write with or write on.
