Afternoon Class
We did a mini theme on Dental Health.
For several years we have used the free materials from Colgate.
We watched a video called The Adventures of Wiggly Tooth
and learned how to take care of our teeth and why we need to see our dentist.
We made an easy-to-read book called My Tooth Care Book.
We asked the whole class:
Have you lost any baby teeth? Are any wiggly?
How did you lose your first tooth?
Chelsea - None of my teeth are wiggly but I did lose 1 tooth so far. I was at home eating a piece of pizza. Something hard poked my mouth so I put my hand in my mouth and found my tooth!
Bailey - I haven't lost any teeth yet and I don't have any wiggly ones.
Jim - I don't have any wiggly teeth right now but I have lost 2 teeth. I lost my first tooth at home. My dad put my shirt on my tooth and pulled it out. And it didn't hurt.
Jacqueline - I haven't lost any teeth yet but I do have 2 wiggly ones.
Gabriella - I have 2 wiggly teeth and so far I've lost 4 teeth. I lost my first tooth at my house. I was in the hallway and my mommy and daddy helped me pull it out.
Cayla - I haven't lost any and I don't have any wiggly ones.
Naia - I have 2 wiggly teeth and so far I've lost one baby tooth. I was up in my bedroom sitting on my bed and I was wiggling it back and forth with my finger. Then it came out!
Brianna - I have 2 wiggly teeth and I've lost 2 baby teeth. I was eating an apple at home. When I took a bite my tooth stuck out of the apple!
Timmy - I haven't lost any teeth yet and I don't have any wiggly ones.
Hunter - I don't have any wiggly teeth now but I did lose 2 teeth. I lost my first tooth when I was in my kitchen. I banged my tooth on my cup and it fell out on my tongue. I spit it out in my hand and my dad wiped the blood for me.
Steven D. - I haven't lost any teeth and I don't have any wiggly ones.
Matthew - I haven't lost any teeth yet but I do have 1 wiggly tooth.
Sarah G. - I have 1 wiggly tooth and I've lost 3 so far. I lost my first tooth when I was at preschool. It got real loose so I pulled it out. Then I tried to put it back in but it fell on the floor. The teacher found it a month later on the floor!
Mark - I haven't lost any teeth yet and I don't have any wiggly ones.
Violet - I have 3 wiggly teeth and so far I've lost 4 teeth. I lost my first tooth when I was at my Me-Mom and PopPop's house when I was eating macaroni and cheese. I was wiggling my tooth with my finger and it fell out. My Aunt Joanna caught the blood.
Steven E. - I haven't lost any teeth yet and none of them are wiggly.
Caroline - I have 2 wiggly teeth and so far I've lost 2 teeth. I lost my first tooth in my living room. I was eating a Hershey Bar and it came out but I didn't realize it. I swallowed it!
Sara M. and Adam were absent when we talked about our baby teeth.
