African Zulu Fly Swatter
$1.00
The man who sold it to me said his mother was a Social Studies teacher and liked to travel.
In 1971 he and his family went to South Africa where this flyswatter was given to his mom,
who liked to collect cool stuff to show to her students.
The Zulu tribe originates from the KwaZulu Natal region in South Africa.
A traditional African Zulu fly swatter is handmade of all natural fibers,
such as cow leather, and genuine cow hair that is obtained from the tail of a cow.
The handle of the fly swatter is hand carved out of wood
and has an African face carved into the handle.
Who invented the
flyswatter?
Many animals use their tails as "fly swishers!"
