From the Daily Times 7/25/07: Free collars for cat owners in Ridley Park
A roundup of stray cats is due this fall, but not before felines who have owners receive a free red collar, courtesy of the borough, to make sure they don't wind up at the pound. Councilman Mike Wright said the free collars will be given away at 9:00 am Sept 15, 2007 at the borough hall. The collars will be numbered and a registry will be on file at the borough hall. Wright said packs of wild cats seem to be a problem in the fourth precinct. After the pet cats are properly identified, the wild cats will be trapped and taken to the SPCA.
